Introducing: Funky and The Jazzman
January 9th 2008 13:03
Hello out there. I'm Funky from Team: Funky and The Jazzman. We are a couple of blokes who do a show* on community radio where each week, we take a look at the week that was and the week that's going to be. Our main focus is on the media, sport and entertainment.
I have formed a bit of a habit of writing a blog based on each week's show, and am happy** to be able to now present it through orble.com. The plan is to write a weekly blog featuring some of our show's bits, and then pop up and write some features that I feel the need to highlight from time to time. And from this day forth it shall be known as thedissector.com! mwah-hahahaha!
As this is my first experience of writing a blog for a forum like this I would really appreciate any feedback at all. Let me know what you like, what sucked, and how we can make the world a better place (or at least get George Lucas to make another Star Wars trilogy).
I hope you take the time to read our ramblings, and hope you find some of it doesn't make you yawn.
Funky.
*When I use the word 'show,' I could be more honest and use the following more accurate summation: 'Three hours of a mate and I sitting in a studio playing music and trying to make each other laugh."
** The word 'happy' doesn't seem to fit. It kinda sounds unimaginative in hindsight, but short of a thesaurus, I don't know what other word to use...
'Elated' - seems too try-hard.
'Stoked' - makes me sound like a surfer, which I have nothing against, but I am not one.
'Joyous' - makes me sound homosexual, which again, I have nothing against, but again, I am not one.
'Overwhelmed' - too emotional.
'Proud' - too business-like, or parental.
'wOOt' - too young, geeky, and it makes me look like a band-wagon climber, which I often am, but not today.
So, I guess 'happy' it'll have to be, and a thesaurus I will have to buy.
