The Dissector - "I've got a bad feeling about this..."

Opening themes

August 16th 2006 09:50
"Nobody knows where they might end up
Nobody knows
Nobody knows where they might wake up
Nobody knows
Oh oh, suppose you'll never know"
Psapp: Cosy in the Rocket

If one thing the Grey's Anatomy producers are good at, that will be choosing the right songs for this show..
Even the lyrics of its opening theme reflects the whole tone of the shows quite succinctly..
Too bad that I'm not really into this kinda tune, though..

With House MD,well..that's a different story..
They used tune off the Massive Attack's Teardrop..

I simply love it!..
But, when I look up the lyrics-errr....

"Love, love is a verb
Love is a doing word
Fearless on my breath
Gentle impulsion
Shakes me makes me lighter
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my breath

Nine night of matter
Black flowers blossom
Fearless on my breath
Black flowers blossom
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my breath

Water is my eye
Most faithful mirror
Fearless on my breath
Teardrop on the fire of a confession
Fearless on my breath
Most faithful mirror
Fearless on my breath

Stumbling a little
Stumbling a little"
Massive Attack: Teardrop

Not quite the thing you'll associate with the supposedly damaged House eh?

p/s:Honestly, I've never heard of these two bands before watching these shows..

Teardrop is a tearjerker

Scrubs has a very fitting opening theme I think...and I love the songs they play at the end, right before the closing credits...the tracks are always so beautiful and moving, and they often get me teary or downright bawling, hehe.

Yeah, I agree with you on scrubs' songs..just the right words, the right tunes at the right moments..
But for me to cry watching it,that's a rare event I must say..hehe

I'll forgive you for Psapp, but Massive Attack? They're very 90s, but still a huge indietronic instrumental band in their own rights.

As for Scrubs? I've noticed they've got even better as they've moved into the fifth season. Even the worst episodes (and there have been many in season 5) have been turned around by an emotionally charged song like "In the Sun" by Joeseph Arthur, "Winter" by Joshua Radin, and a host of others. The only third party song I didn't really like in season 5 was "Hey Julie" by Fountains of Wayne - it was an ok song, but I'm not a fan of songs whose lyrics relate so directly to the situation as that song did. Dunno why.

Well,I guess I'm not really a huge fan of indietronic instrumental..
maybe you could recommend some of their songs to me?
