Love Hurts. (ref: one of House episode in Season 1 was given this title)
It doesn't necessarily have to..but, that's the way it is-at least on screen..cos people nowadays don't just wanna see the happily-ever-after endings..instead, what they seemed to want more are tragedies..
(now, how many ppl actually stop to help when a traffic accident occurs..compared to the ppl who slow down their cars, just to have a look..later causing a massive traffic accident?
)
Anyway, the point is-
House-Stacy-Mark
We may be inclined to think that House is not capable of emotion, but when Stacy entered the frame, I think somehow we're proven wrong..at least half wrong..
House-Stacy relationship is a complicated thing I must say..I'm not sure whether he really loved (or loves) her..or if it's just some kind of obsession-an “unacceptance” to the fact that Stacy managed to move on while he’s still the miserable old geezer that he was..
I guess when he found out that she’s married (and seemed to be quite happy, at first)-well, that must be a huge blow to his ego..
Yeah, most of us have been there before..No matter who caused the relationship to break, a part of us still wants the other person to suffer..at least a bit (if not as much as we do
)..It’s a pride thing- a way to salvage our shredded dignity..but anyway…(sorry, I tend to do this a lot-getting sidetracked, I mean)
Back to House and Stacy- I think they started and ended it quite abruptly..one episode she’s there..seemingly happily married..the next, she’s toying with the idea of having House back..then, THE brief affair (urgh!)..and suddenly, out she went again..
Not that I’m unhappy that she’s not there anymore..
I mean, what about Mark?
I remember one episode when Mark confronted House..him in his wheelchair..huhuh..(seemed like some kinda sadistic competition of who's more miserable- the one in the wheelchair, or the one with the walking stick & painful leg)
Anyway, I much prefer seeing House staying “single-ly” miserable..
or with Cameron
(to be continued)
